Canyon Creek Trailhead is the most
popular trailhead into the Trinity Alps. A 7 mile hike leads to

through forests of Douglas Fir, Ponderosa Pine, Madrone, Oak and
Dogwood. A 19 mile hike leads to Grizzly Lake at the base of Thomson
Peak. A 70 foot waterfall drops from it's outlet. A remote Class V
run on the North Fork Trinity which is not run commercially begins
at the Hobo Gulch Campground.
Turn off of Hwy 299 by the Pigeon Pt. put in at Helena (East Fork
Rd.) and after around 4 miles, bear to the left on a marked Forest
